MANUFACTURE OF SLIDER AND AUXILIARY TOOL FOR MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely manufacture a slider with good characteristics, to improve the production efficiency, and to make it easy to handle an intermediate product in the manufacturing process of the slider. SOLUTION: To manufacture a bar where slider parts are arranged in array, a wafer block 21 is formed by using a wafer where slider parts are arrayed in columns and on the support substrate 22, the wafer block 21 and a dummy block 23 are joined. Then a working process wherein the medium opposite surface of a slider part of one column on the medium opposite surface side of the wafer block 21 joined with the support plate 22 is worked as specified and a cutting process for cutting the wafer block 21 and support plate 22 together so that the slider part of one column having the medium opposite surface worked as specified is separated as a bar from the wafer block 21 are repeated.
