PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide the subject reinforcing element so designed as to prevent carried article(s) from inadvertently falling off through reinforcing the opening edge of an inside pocket and suppress the loosening of a clothing cloth through limiting the flexibility of the opening edge so as to prevent crease development on the clothing surface as well. SOLUTION: This reinforcing element is so designed that, a reinforcement base 11 as a band of elastic material and a hooking element 12 are integratedly formed in a folding back fashion one or both of the ends of the reinforcement base 11 is equipped with a holding ring(s) 13 with which the opening edge of a clothing inside pocket is nipped and fixed by a relevant means to effect affording the opening edge with moderate mechanical strength and limit its flexibility to a minimum.
