PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device equipped with a paper feeding device enhancing a separation performance for loaded transfer papers. SOLUTION: The table 1 of a loading part is formed into a recessed shape in cross section, and it is so designed that, when transfer papers 10 are set, the transfer papers 10 do not adhere closely to a place close to the lower side of a pick-up roller 3, and a gap X is allowed therein. And the switch-over of pick-up pressure is made using two sets of pressing mechanisms composed of solenoids 6a and 6b which allow a sheet of the transfer papers 10 to be in contact with/separated from the pick-up roller 3, levers 7a and 7b, and of springs 8a, 8b, 9a and 9b and the like. Besides, before the papers are fed to a paper feeding device, let a pick-up roller 3 be pressed to/separated from the transfer papers 10 one or several times to let a bundle of the transfer papers to be handled, in other words, deflected and restored by making use of the gap for weakening adhesion force among the transfer papers 10, so that the separating properties of the transfer papers 10 are thereby enhanced.
