PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of lengthening the useful life of a paper feeding roller. SOLUTION: The large diameter part 10a of a paper feeding roller 10 is gradually worn out as its operation time passes by. A roller 12 in its initial condition, is in a state that the tip end of a projection 12a is in contact with a rotating shaft 14, when the rotating shaft 14 is rotated, or when the roller 10 is rotated, the tip end of the projection 12a is concentratively subjected to friction force acting in a space between the roller 12 and the rotating shaft 14, and the projection 12 is gradually worn out. For this reason, when the difference in diameter between the large diameter part 10a of the paper feeding roller 10 and the roller 12 is observed, there is scarcely any difference left between a difference G1 in an initial condition and a difference G2 when the roller 12 is mounted. By this constitution, even if the paper feeding roller 10 is advanced in abrasion, a pick mistake does not occur frequently.
