PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary pumping work. SOLUTION: A discharge flow rate of a motor-driven pump 500 is controlled so that the difference between the cooling water temperature at a cooling water outlet side of an engine 100 and the cooling water temperature at a cooling water inlet side of the engine 100 balls within a predetermined temperature differenceΔT. Whereby the unnecessary pumping work can be reduced because the lower the engine load is, the smaller the discharge flow rate is, the large change of the temperature distribution in the engine 100 can be prevented, and the durability can be improved while preventing the thermal deformation of the engine 100, and saving the fuel consumption.
