PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building board having a fine and uniform granular pattern on the whole surface of the building board containing mountain portions and groove portions and hardly having irregular gloss, and to provide a method for producing the building board on which the granular pattern is formed. SOLUTION: This building board has a plurality of mountain portions 11 and groove portions 12 formed between the mountain portions, and has a granular pattern 10 comprising a coating containing granules 101 having granule diameters of 50-300μm on the whole surface of the mountain portions 11 and the groove portions 12. This method for producing the building board comprises forming the plurality of mountain portions 11 and the plurality of groove portions 12 between the mountain portions 11 on a mat molded product, curing the product to form the inorganic board, coating the whole surface of the inorganic board with a primer coating, drying the coated primer coating, further coating the surface with an intermediate coating, scattering and sticking granules 101 on the coated surface, before the coated surface is not dried, and finally coating the surface with a top coating.
