COATING MATERIAL FOR FLOOR BOARD AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A method for preparing a coating material for a floor material is provided to obtain a coating composition for an environment-friendly floor material by using an inorganic binder and to secure the uniformity of coating. A method for preparing a coating material for a floor material comprises (a) a step for mixing illite, titanium dioxide and calcium carbonate; (b) a step for ball-milling the mixture mixed in the (a) step; and (c) mixing the ball-milled mixture with an inorganic binder and water. The illite is 5 weight% based on a coating composition for a floor material; the titanium dioxide is 15 weight%; and the calcium carbonate is 14 weight%.
