<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin optical element with a simple structure and high use efficiency of light, and to provide an optical head using the optical element. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element mounted on a slider which moves relative to a recording medium, has an optical fiber whose end face on a side which couples light from a light source and emits the light is formed on a slope inclined with respect to an optical axis, and a lens that is formed on a slope of the optical fiber and that focuses the light emitted from the optical fiber to a predetermined position where the light is reflected and coupled with the slider. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
