A digitized bitmap is deskewed so that a skew angle is reduced to zero for reading out binary data from the digitized bitmap to produce a one-dimensional array of digital data. One-dimensional array of digital data is then de-randomized and error-corrected to produce a substantially error-free digital representation of the encoded information.
