A method and a system for waste management are provided to allow a user to manage waste with high efficiency and low cost, adjacently to a location where the waste is generated, by using a vacuum system. Each inlet unit is connected to a temporary storage case(3), and a waste material is removed from the temporary storage case by intermittent control. At least one waste inlet unit is induced at a location where waste is generated or near the location. When the waste material is removed from the temporary storage case except a process of emptying the temporary storage case, the temporary storage case is maintained in a vacuum state through a vacuum inlet(5). The waste material is induced into and housed in a closable compartment room of each inlet unit during a process of filling the inlet. Vacuum and air are intermittently transferred to the compartment room of the inlet unit during a process of filling the temporary storage case, thereby filling the temporary storage case with the waste material induced to the inlet unit.
