GRAPHIC-TO-TACTILE PRODUCTION METHOD

摘要

A method for extracting tactile information on a surface by using image information is provided to extract the tactile information by using relatively simple bitmap information in a graphic environment, thereby enabling a user to feel the surface of an original image without a need to include additional information about tactile sensation simply and quickly. A method for extracting tactile information on a surface by using image information comprises the following steps of: dividing an image region in which a mouse pointer is positioned by a mouse into plural cells(S12,S13); extracting the representative gray level value of each cell(S14); and extracting the tactile information according to the input specification of a tactile sensation device by using the representative gray level value and providing the tactile information to the tactile sensation device(S15,S16).
