A manhole cover having a separation and noise prevention structure by lateral contact is provided to prevent the abnormal opening of a manhole cover and noise occurrence and to open and close easily by minimizing a gap between a manhole cover and a manhole support. A manhole cover having a separation and noise prevention structure by lateral contact includes a lateral contact portion(22) formed in the center of the outer circumferential surface of a manhole cover(20) and projected within tolerance between the manhole cover and a manhole support(10), wherein semicircular strap projections(22a), triangular strap projections(22b), spot projections or vertical projections are formed on the lateral circumference of the manhole cover continuously. In addition, a ring groove is formed in the center of the outer circumferential surface of the manhole cover and fitted with a lateral contact ring to minimize the fabrication error of the lateral contact portion easily, a ring groove is formed on the side of the manhole cover and fitted with an elastic ring to make lateral contact with the inside of the manhole support continuously using elastic force, and a ring groove is formed in the circumferential surface of the manhole cover and fitted with an elastic lateral contact ring to make the circumference of the lateral contact ring projected to the outer circumferential surface of the manhole cover by the diameter of the lateral contact ring. |
