PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine preventing engagement and catching of laundry and reducing a load torque applied to a motor for driving a pulsator. SOLUTION: This washing machine is disposed with the pulsator 100, or a rotating body, for agitating the laundry at the central part of the bottom 22 of a washing-cum-spin-drying tub. The pulsator 100 has a base section 110 having a tilt surface 110a formed on its upper surface by setting one end side of the surface low and the other end side opposite thereto high, and a blade 120 upright located along the direction of one end side to the other end side of the base section 110. Further, the upper surface of the bottom wall 22a positioned outside the pulsator 100 in the washing-cum-spin-drying water tub 21 is formed flush with the upper face in the outer circumferential part of the base section 110 of the pulsator 100.
