<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which is manufactured by a molten casting method and which has small variation in retardation values, good slidability and excellent uniformity in transparency and optical anisotropy and to provide its manufacturing method, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display apparatus using the optical film. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the optical film comprising essentially a cellulose ester resin manufactured by the molten casting method, silica particles (a sliding agent 1) whose primary particle size is 0.8 to 1.5 μm and silica particles (a sliding agent 2) whose primary particle size is 30 to 100 nm are used as the sliding agent and addition amount of the sliding agent 1 is 0.01 to 0.05 mass% and addition amount of the sliding agent 2 is 0.1 to 1 mass%. The sliding agents are produced by a master batch in advance and are blended with master pellets, obtained mixture is subjected to molten casting and then is stretched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
