PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel plate capacitor which can increase a capacitance value while keeping the total volume of the capacitor at a constant value. SOLUTION: A parallel plate capacitor 200 includes a first conducting structure 202, a second conducting structure 204, and a dielectric layer 206. The first conducting structure 202 includes a first upper finger 208 disposed on an upper plane 212 and a first lower finger 210 disposed on a lower plane 214. The first upper finger 208 and the first lower finger 210 are electrically connected to each other. The second conducting structure 204 includes a second upper finger 218 and a second lower finger 220. The second upper finger 218 is formed at a point adjacent to the first upper finger 208 on the upper plane 212.
