The present invention relates to a composition for proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells comprising tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the hematopoietic stem cell group treated with TUDCA shows an effect of proliferating hematopoietic stem cells by at least 4 times as compared to the hematopoietic stem cell group non-treated with TUDCA and is effective for maintaining the number of cells. Therefore, when using the composition for proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells according to the present invention, it is possible to improve proliferation of red blood precursor cells and to increase the retaining ratio of red blood cells (RBC). In addition, it is possible to solve problems related with blood supply by using the composition as an artificial blood composition.
