The present invention relates to a tool magazine and a tool pot carrier unit, which remarkably increase the exchange efficiency of a tool pot by integrating the advantage of a fixed address method with the advantage of a random address method. The tool magazine according to the present invention comprises: a chain which is driven in a state that a tool port is received; automatic tool exchange devices which are installed in the bottom of the chain to be vertically separated from each other by a predetermined interval; and a tool pot carrier unit which vertically carries the tool port by corresponding to the interval between the chain and the automatic tool exchange devices.
