The present invention provides a fuel cell system capable of restricting freeze of a circulation device and deterioration of a fuel cell even when the fuel cell system is driven at a low temperature. The fuel cell system comprises: a fuel cell; a fuel supplier; a fuel gas passage through which a part of fuel gas is circulated; a discharge device for discharging the fuel gas, after the reaction, to the outside; a circulation device for circulating fuel gas; and a control unit. The control unit pauses circulation of fuel gas, which occurs by the circulation device, when discharge from the discharge device is determined to be abnormal. In addition, when it is determined that discharge from the discharge device is abnormal and a parameter with respect to vapor in the fuel gas passage is greater than a predetermined value, the control unit drives the circulation device so that fuel gas is circulated at a first circulation speed, and when discharge from the discharge device is determined to be normal, the control unit drives the circulation device so that the fuel gas is circulated at a second circulation speed, wherein the first circulation speed is lower than the second circulation speed. |
