PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle travel control device for reducing an influence on a traffic flow when the other vehicle tries to pass an own vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle travel control device 1 includes: an other vehicle information acquisition part 11 for acquiring the relative position and relative speed of the other vehicle 4 to an own vehicle 3; a passing candidate vehicle determination part 12 for determining whether or not the other vehicle 4 is a passing candidate vehicle which travels behind the own vehicle 3, and approaches the own vehicle 3 on a passing lane 54; a relative speed determination part 13 for determining whether or not the relative speed of the passing candidate vehicle to the own vehicle 3 is equal to or less than a threshold, and the relative speed becomes negative when the own vehicle 3 travels at an upper limit speed of the travel lane 53 on the basis of the information acquired by the other vehicle information acquisition part 11; and a control part for allowing the own vehicle 3 to travel at the upper limit speed when it is determined that the relative speed is equal to or less than the threshold, and the relative speed becomes negative when the own vehicle 3 travels at the upper limit speed of the travel lane 53 by the relative speed determination part 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
