PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which, when an electric wheelchair travels on a sloping road surface, the seating surface of a seat is inclined, making a sitting condition unstable for the user and causing the user to fall from the seat on account of inferior balance.SOLUTION: In the electric wheelchair 1 that is at least capable of travelling forward, an arm member 6 is journaled by a support member 5 standing on the body of this electric wheelchair 1. A seat 7 for seating a user is mounted on this arm member 6 in a manner that the seat can freely oscillate in all directions relative to the body 2. Also, a weight 12 is installed under the seat 7, with the center of gravity G of the seat 7 set in a part lower than the arm member 6. As a result, the seating surface 71 of the seat 7 is always horizontally held relative to the road surface in the electric wheelchair.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
