PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tread rubber composition capable of improving high mileage, wet grip performance and abrasion resistance in a good balance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: A tread rubber composition contains a rubber component and two kinds of silicas having different nitrogen adsorption specific surface areas and the content of a modified diene polymer rubber reacted with a triglycidyl isocyanurate-based compound is 5 wt.% or more based on an active conjugated diene polymer having an alkali metal terminal obtained by polymerization of a conjugated diene monomer in the coexistence of a Lewis basic compound or the conjugated diene monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer by using an alkali metal-based catalyst in 100 mass% of the rubber component. |
