PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an image dictionary for obtaining image representation to find a characteristic meaningful area in an image.SOLUTION: A partial area dividing section 30 divides an input image into partial areas. A classifying section 34 classifies each of the partial areas of a partial area set, into clusters. A candidate area determination section 36 determines a candidate area, which is a partial area representing a cluster, for each of the clusters, on the basis of a feature quantity of the partial area and document data corresponding to the image including the partial area. A discriminator learning section 38 learns a discriminator, using a feature quantity of the candidate area as a positive example and a feature quantity of a partial area which has not been classified into the cluster as a negative example, to be output as an image dictionary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
