PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool capable of reducing vibration and noise in operation.SOLUTION: A power tool comprises: a casing 10; a brushless motor 3 housed in the casing; a speed-reducing transmission mechanism 20 which converts a rotational motion of the motor 3 into a decelerated linear motion; blades 41, 42 which extend from the casing 10 and perform a linear motion via the speed-reducing transmission mechanism 20; and a control section 30 which periodically switches the direction of rotation of the motor 3. Thus, the blades 41,42 are made perform a reciprocal linear motion, enabling trimming of garden trees and hedges to be performed at low vibration and low noise. |
