PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and highly purely isolating RNA from a biological sample containing RNA, even without use of chaotropic agent.SOLUTION: The method for isolating RNA from a biological sample containing RNA comprises the following steps (A)-(C): (A) a step of mixing the biological sample with a carrier having an acidic group capable of binding to RNA, under acidic conditions and in a liquid phase where a lithium salt has been added, (B) a step of separating the RNA binding carrier and supernatant obtained in the step (A), and (C) a step of eluting RNA from the RNA binding carrier separated in the step (B).SELECTED DRAWING: None |
