PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the printing costs and prevent a decrease in the printing efficiency in a controlling device and method for a printer and the printer.SOLUTION: After completion of printing, digital ink pumps 72a and 72b are controlled to keep supplying ink to ink origin rollers 71a and 71b without changing the amount of ink supply for a first region including a small change in a picture during a predetermined first specified time T1, whereas the digital ink pumps 72a and 72b are controlled to stop supplying ink to the ink origin rollers 71a and 71b for a second region including a large change in the picture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
