PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent control of shifting to a power saving mode from causing a deterioration in job processing efficiency and power-saving effect.SOLUTION: A control part, when a duration for waiting for an operation event reaches a preset power-saving shift setting time, shifts the state of an apparatus to a power saving mode (S107). When an extension condition is met, the control part temporarily changes the power-saving shift setting time to a longer time (S113). The extension condition includes the occurrence at a predetermined frequency of a situation where a duration time for the power saving mode or a target parameter value changing according to the duration for the power saving mode during restoration of a state satisfies a short-term restoration condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
