A power converter (100) is controlled by diagonal phase-shifted switching of at least two diagonal elements (101, 104) within at least one of a primary bridge (120) and a secondary bridge (121) of the power converter, and by bridge phase-shifted switching of at least one element (105) in the secondary bridge, relative to a homologous element (101) in the primary bridge.
