PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image sensor capable of performing distance measurement with high accuracy, or performing the distance measurement with high accuracy even when a pixel size is small.SOLUTION: A solid state image sensor with a plurality of pixels comprises: a photoelectric conversion part for converting light into an electric signal; and an optical waveguide composed of a core part and a clad part disposed on a light incident side of the photoelectric conversion part. The optical waveguide is configured by at least two optical waveguides composed of a first optical waveguide provided in a direction of light propagation on the light incident side, and a second optical waveguide provided on a photoelectric conversion part side. The core part in the first optical waveguide on the light incident side is formed with a refractive index smaller than that of the core part in the second optical waveguide on the photoelectric conversion part side, and configured to enhance photosensitivity of light incident from a specified angle. |
