PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent instantaneous interruption at a time of switching from a main power supply unit to a preliminary power supply unit, and continuously supply a sufficient voltage to a load at the time of switching.SOLUTION: A power supply switching apparatus comprises: a power supply switching unit that, when receiving a signal indicating an abnormality from a power supply unit which outputs the signal indicating the abnormality when the abnormality has occurred, activates a power supply unit to which no failure occurs so as to switch the abnormal power supply unit to the power supply unit to which no failure occurs; a connection point connecting the power supply units to each other; a supply passage connected to the connection point on one end, connected to a load on the other end, and supplying electric power from one power supply unit to the load; and a discharge rectifier connected to a secondary battery, made conductive in response to a reduction of a voltage of the supply passage at a time of switching one power supply unit to another, and causing the electric power to be supplied from the secondary battery to the supply passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
