PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain positional relationship between two shafts of a charging member and a cleaning member and reduce load due to deflection and deformation.SOLUTION: A charging device includes: a charging member 1 provided to face and be in contact with a body to be charged 10, extending in the shaft direction, so as to rotate following the body to be charged 10; a cleaning member 2 extending in the shaft direction along the charging member 1 so as to clean the charging member 1 in contact with the surface of the charging member 1; a holding member 3 for holding the shafts of the charging member 1 and the cleaning member 2 in a manner to be constantly displaceable, maintaining a gap between the two shafts; a plurality of bearing members 4,5 provided on the holding member 3 in a state of being locked against rotation so as to individually rotatably support respective shafts 1a,2a of the charging member 1 and the cleaning member 2, being displaced to follow posture changes of each shaft 1a,2a; and an energization member 6 for energizing the holding member 3 so that the charging member 1 is pushed to the side of the body to be charged 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
