PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which enables a pressure in a storage chamber of an ink tank for storing an ink supplied to an ink jet head to be stably maintained at a predetermined negative pressure value.SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording device, a buffer tank includes a first passage part. The first passage part forms a first portion of a second connection passage allowing an internal chamber to communicate with a storage chamber of an ink tank and is formed by a through hole penetrating through a wall part forming the internal chamber. In the buffer tank, a negative pressure is generated in the internal chamber. A second connection part includes a second passage part forming a second portion of the second connection passage. The second passage part communicates with the first passage part. A third connection part includes a third passage part forming a third portion of the second connection passage. The third passage part communicates with the second passage part and the storage chamber. In a carriage, an ink jet head connected with the ink tank by the first connection part and the buffer tank are mounted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
