A wheeled transportation device (10) comprising: a steering assembly; a deck (16) for supporting a rider thereon; a rear wheel assembly comprising an arm member (18) pivotally mounted to the deck (16) and at least one wheel (26) mounted on said arm member; and an energy storage system mounted to the deck so as to engage with the arm member of the rear wheel assembly; wherein, the energy storage system is configured to store a potential energy therein when the rear wheel assembly pivots away from the deck, and to release the stored potential energy upon activation by the rider to return the rear wheel assembly to a neutral position thereby generating a lifting force in the deck to assist the rider to perform a jump manoeuvre.
