PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross shaft joint which can inexpensively fix a cup to a fitting hole of a yoke member, and its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A cross shaft joint 10 comprises a yoke member 20, a pair of bearing cups 40 and a cross shaft member 30. Fitting holes 22a, 23a of the yoke member 20 have lock grooves 22a1, 23a1, and before the fitting of the bearing cups 40 into the fitting holes 22a, 23a, the bearing cup 40x has not a protrusion 43, and a bottom part 41x has a protrusion 44. Then, at the fitting of the bearing cup 40x into the fitting holes 22a, 23a, the protrusion 44 is push-pressed from both sides in an axial line direction, elastically deformed, sequentially pushes out a thickness of the bottom part 41x toward the outside of the bottom part 41x in a radial direction, and makes the protrusion 43 protrude from an external periphery of the bottom part 41x, and the protrusion 43 is engaged with the lock grooves 22a1, 23a1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6D |
