PURPOSE:To provide input to and output from an optical fiber on a line for optical information transmission which consists of a lens array having conjugate image surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Many distributed index rod lenses 2... are arrayed at equal intervals while having the same optical axis 2A and conjugate image surfaces I1, I2... are formed at groove parts 7 between lens end surfaces. Then the prism 3 is inserted into each groove part 7, another distributed index rod lens 5 is joined with this prism, and an optical fiber 5 is connected thereto. Various elements of the system are so set that the conjugate image formation surface I of the coaxial lens array body and the connection end surface of the optical fiber 5 are in conjugate image formation relation. |
