PURPOSE:To obtain a latex compsn. for nonwoven fabric which has a high tensile strength at a high temp. and does not emit formalin by compounding two polymers having specified acid values and glass transition temps. with a polyalkyleneimine. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. comprises 85-15 pts.wt. polymer (A) having an acid value of 200 or higher and a glass transition temp. of 20 deg.C or higher, 15-85 pts.wt. polymer (B) having an acid value of 50 or lower and a glass transition temp. of 20 deg.C or higher (the sum of polymers A and B being 100 pts.wt.), and 1-20 pts.wt. polyalkyleneimine, provided polymer A and/or polymer B is partially neutralized. Polymer A is formed from an ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid; polymer B, from an arom. vinyl monomer, an ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic ester, a vinyl cyanide monomer, an ethylenically unsatd. glycidyl ether, etc. |
