<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently mounting a window pane into the groove of a glass-run channel attached to a window frame by preventing the generation of the winding of an outer side wall portion, and further to provide a glass-run channel to be used in the same method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for mounting the window pane, a cut-out portion 100 is formed in a part of the inward directed portion of the outside portion 5a of a window frame 3 forming the opening portion of the window, and an enlarged opening portion 110 is formed on the glass-run channel 30 corresponding to the cut-out portion by moving outward the portion of the outer side wall portion 32 corresponding to the cut-out portion.
