PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately read character data by a magnetic reading apparatus and to also record addition data other than character data simultaneously with the character data to easily and accurately read the same. SOLUTION: A character is printed by magnetic material mixed ink 113 and the signal corresponding to the printed character or addition data not expressed in the character is recorded by magnetization. Aeternatively, a character is printed on a printing medium such as paper having a magnetic material mixed with at least a part thereof and the signal corresponding to the printed character or addition data not expressed in the character is recorded by magnetization.
