PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for joining a lengthy body such as a synthetic resin belt bent repeatedly and others, an apparatus for the method, and a lengthy body joined by the method. SOLUTION: Lengthy bodies 1, 2 such as synthetic resin belts for joining slanted joining surfaces 3, 4 which agree with each other comprise a means for heat-melting the surfaces 3, 4, a means which shifts the axes of the lengthy bodies from decentered positions to mutually coinciding positions while applying adhesive force to the molten surfaces 3, 4 for welding, and a means for keeping the welded surfaces 3, 4 at the coinciding positions until they are fixed.
