METHOD FOR REGENERATING PARTITION USING VIRTUAL DRIVE, DATA PROCESSOR AND DATA STORAGE DEVICE

An operating system performing division management in units of a partition based on the physical sector in an external storage device generates a new virtual drive (partition) through a step of altering the size of the partition into an arbitrary size, a step of generating an altered partition as a new partition through a standard means provided previously in the operating system, a step of determining the new physical position for all data of the partition based on the information about formation of the new partition, and a step of determining the position of a physical sector to be replaced based on the new physical position and generating information about the difference between the original positional information and new positional information.
