<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mounting feeling of a sole mounting part and to accurately detect the treading strength of a user as well, in a walking assisting device comprising a load transmission part 1, the sole mounting part 2 and a leg link 3 provided between the load transmission part and the sole mounting part, wherein the sole mounting part is provided with a grounding member 21a for putting the sole of the user on and a connecting member 22 for connecting the grounding member to a joint part provided on the lower end of the leg link and the grounding member is provided with a treading strength sensor 5 for detecting the treading strength of the user. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting member 22 is formed so as to rise in a cantilever state from one side in the transverse direction of the grounding member 21a.
