PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fluorine-doped tin oxide particles having excellent electroconductivity and high crystallinity and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the fluorine-doped tin oxide particles includes a process for obtaining a molten material containing at least one kind selected from the group of alkali metal oxides and alkaline earth metal oxides, tin oxide, and boron oxide, expressed in terms of oxides, in which a portion of oxygen atoms of the oxides is substituted with fluorine atoms, a process for precipitating fluorine-doped tin oxide crystallites by cooling the obtained molten material, and a process for separating the fluorine-doped tin oxide crystallites from the obtained crystallized material, in this order.
