<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sliding members of a β-sialon sinter that are not only inexpensive but also capable of stably ensuring satisfactory durability, a manufacturing process therefor and a sliding device having the sliding members. <P>SOLUTION: An outer ring 11 and an inner ring 12 that are the sliding members constituting a spherical sliding bearing 1 as the sliding device, consist of sintered body containing β-sialon as a main component and the balance impurities. The outer ring 11 and the inner ring 12 at their areas including an outer ring sliding surface 11A and an inner ring sliding surfaces 12A which are surfaces to make a contact with the inner ring 12 and the outer ring 11 are respectively provided with an outer ring dense layer 11B and an inner ring dense layer 12B which are layers with denseness higher than that of their interiors 11C, 12C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
