PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor for correcting an image distortion for correcting a distortion in an image which is read in by a noncontact type image reader such as a digital camera and has no mark indicating a reference position for a correction. SOLUTION: An image of a form which is read in together with a background by a noncontact type image reading section 1 such as a digital camera is read out by a business form detection section 6 after being stored temporarily in an input image memory 4 and position coordinates of four corners are calculated on the basis of boundary lines of four sides of the form. A parameter generation section 7 generates perspective conversion parameters for converting a quadrilateral in the memory 4 into a rectangular image in output image memory 5 in accordance with the position coordinates at the four corners. A correction processing section 8 calculates position coordinates of the memory 4 corresponding to each pixel position of an output image memory 5 by using the parameters and reads out the values of the corresponding memory 4 to be copied to the corresponding pixel positions in the memory 5.
