PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover device for a high voltage section in an optical fiber fusion splicer, a cover device that facilitates removing/replacing of an electrode. SOLUTION: The removable cover body 19 in an optical fiber fusion splicer is provided with an electrode holder 23 for freely feeding electricity to an electrode 3 and freely pressing it to a holding base 7, and is also provided with an electrode retainer 25 for removably keeping the electrode. A mounting screw 31 for fixing the electrode holder on the holding base penetrates the electrode holder, with the head 31H of the mounting screw arranged between the electrode holder and the upper wall 19U of the cover body. A tool inserting hole 43 is formed in the upper wall 19U of the cover body in a manner that a tool for rotating the mounting screw is freely inserted, so that the electrode 3 is made removable from the holding base on which it is positioned, in the cover device for the high voltage section.
