DOWNLINK FRAME TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING APPARATUS AND METHOD IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving a downlink frame in a wireless communication system are provided to reduce decoding load and complexity of a terminal by receiving the downlink frame considering an MIMO method and a HARQ method. In a wireless telecommunications system supporting an SISO(Single Input Single Output) and an MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output), the sizes of a MIMO burst and a transmission SISO burst are determined. The frame for the SISO burst and the frame for the MIMO burst are separately comprised. According to the size of the determined bursts, the bursts are adaptively allocated to the frames and are transmitted.
