摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of deciding degradation of various kinds of electrolyte membranes used for a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte membrane degradation deciding device 100 is provided with a first gas supply exhaust system supplying first gas to a first electrode of the fuel cell 10 and exhausting the first gas exhausted from the fuel cell 10, a second gas supply exhaust system supplying second gas humidified to have higher vapor density than the first gas to the second electrode of the fuel cell 10 and exhausting the second gas exhausted from the fuel cell 10 out to the atmosphere, and a decision part 70 for deciding degradation of the electrolyte membrane. The decision part 70 calculates transferred moisture volume transferred from the second electrode to the first electrode based on a difference of a moisture content of the first gas supplied to the fuel cell 10 and a moisture content of the first gas exhausted from the fuel cell 10, and decides on degradation of the electrolyte membrane based on the transferred moisture volume calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
