PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the quantity of a fuel at the time of starting, and to avoid difficulty in starting due to an excessively high concentration fuel/air mixture when starting is repeated. SOLUTION: A solenoid valve 7 is provided on a starting fuel feed passage 18 for feeding the starting fuel so as to increase the quantity of the fuel at the time of starting, fuel quantity increasing processing is carried out between a cranking start time and a first predetermined time period and only while an engine rotates in predetermined counts, and the solenoid valve is not opened between the time of a first predetermined time end and the time of a second predetermined time period passage when starting fails. At the time of restarting, when entering a time count period of the second predetermined time period, the fuel is not increased and excessively high concentration of the fuel/air mixture is prevented in the time of repeated restarting. Since a time count is carried out by a first timer corresponding to rotation detection start after the second predetermined time period is passed, starting control due to an increase in the starting fuel is repeatedly be carried out.
