<p>Provided is a fine sand sterilizing apparatus, which is enabled to sterilize sand reliably by scattering it without inviting any bulkiness. The sterilizing apparatus (10) sterilizes fine sand by heating it. The sterilizing apparatus (10) comprises a sterilizing chamber (13) constituted into a closed section shape and including an upstream receiving port (13B) and a downstream delivery port (13C). The sterilizing chamber (13) is inclined such that the downstream delivery port (13C) is lower than the upstream receiving port (13B) thereby to receive the fine sand to be treated in the upstream receiving port (13B), and sends the sand, while applying vibrations to hop it grain by grain, toward the downstream delivery port (13C) so that the sand is sterilized in an internal hot atmosphere. Further comprised are a burner (14) disposed in the sterilizing chamber (13) for establishing the hot atmosphere in the sterilizing chamber (13), and receiving means (17) for receiving the sterilized fine sand delivered from the downstream delivery port (13C) of the sterilizing chamber (13).</p> |
