PIPE FOR HOT-WATER CIRCULATION AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A pipe for hot-water circulation which is made of a modified ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (C). It is characterized in that the modified ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) is one obtained by modifying an unmodified ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) with an epoxy compound (B) having a double bond, the amount of modification with the epoxy compound (B) having a double bond is 0.1 to 10 mol% based on the monomer units of the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), at least part of the modified ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) has been crosslinked, and the copolymer (C) has a gel content of 3 mass% or higher. This pipe for hot-water circulation contains almost no harmful crosslinking agent, retains a high degree of gas-barrier properties, and is excellent in durability, flexing resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and freeze resistance. It is hence suitable for use in the circulation/supply/discharge of hot water.
