<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a dot pattern on which code information and x and y coordinate information can be defined even if the dot pattern is extremely small, and to propose an information reproducing device based on the dot pattern. <P>SOLUTION: The information reproducing device using a dot pattern comprises: a mouse pad on which a dot pattern portion is formed by arranging reference lattice point dots at predetermined intervals in the vertical and lateral directions, arranging information dots in which values are defined by how far a dot is shifted from virtual lattice points around the virtual lattice points at the center surrounded by reference lattice point dots of four points, respectively, and defining code information or/and coordinate information by the predetermined number of sets of the information dots; a scanning means housed in a case of a coordinate instruction input device to capture image data of a dot pattern portion of the mouse pad; and information processing means for digitizing the image data into numeric values, reading multimedia information corresponding to the dot pattern portion based on the digitized numeric values from storing means and outputting the multimedia information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
